Animal Research Protection - The University of Pittsburgh Animal Research Protection Office oversees the University's animal programs, facilities, and procedures insuring the appropriate care, use, and humane treatments of animals being used for research, testing, and education.

Biomedical Research Imaging Resources - The site provides an overview of the imaging resources and capabilities available to biomedical researchers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University.

Centers and Institutes - From the Advanced Imaging Center to the World History Center, hundreds of Pitt centers and institutes push the boundaries of knowledge.

Center for the Integration of Teaching, Research, Learning (CIRTL) - This National Science Foundation (NSF) center for learning and teaching in higher education comprises a network of 40+ research universities across the U.S. and Canada committed to advancing the professional development of the next generation of STEM faculty.

Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) - CTSI is  part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) nationwide network providing the support necessary to bridge the gap between innovative approaches to research and effective clinical and public health practice and policy. It works directly with researchers in collaboration with regulatory agencies to navigate all necessary regulatory pathways at any stage of research.

Environmental Health and Safety - The Department of Environmental Health and Safety is committed to keeping the University campus safe by providing occupational training, such as laboratory procedures and fire safety; providing health and safety resources; assisting in resource acquisition; working to ensure the proper handling and disposing of biological and chemical waste; and providing tips on how to make your workspace ergonomically friendly.

Funding Opportunities (via Johns Hopkins University) - A continuously updated repository of federal and private funding opportunities intended for postdoctoral investigators.

Guidelines for Research Associates - This document outlines the definition of a research associate, appointment guidelines, grievance situations, workplace policies and procedures, benefits, and more.

Guidelines for Responsible Conduct of Research - These guidelines were developed to provide a set of practical suggestions for maintaining integrity in research and covers topics such as plagiarism, privileged information, data, authorship, conflict of interest, responsibilities, and more.

Health Sciences Core Research Facilities (HSCRF) - The Health Sciences Core Research Facilities recognize the vital role that centralized research resources play in the academic research enterprise. The technology required to perform innovative biomedical research changes rapidly and centralized research resources provide access to expertise, technology applications, and state-of-the-art instruments that are otherwise unavailable to most investigators.

Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) - The Human Research Protection Office team is available to aid research teams in navigating the complexities of the regulatory landscape and ensure the conduct of ethical research.

Office of Research, Health Sciences (OORHS) - The OORHS works to foster emerging and established research enterprises within and across the schools of the health sciences at Pitt (Dental Medicine, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health). OORHS considers a productive dialogue between it and health sciences investigators key to its success.

Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) - The Office of Sponsored Programs assists in efforts to promote and secure sponsored research funding. The OSP reviews, negotiates, endorses, and provides administrative oversight related to proposals and awards. The Vice Chancellor for Sponsored Programs and Research Operations serves as the designated University Officer empowered for all sponsored research activities.
