Check out these additional areas at the University that may be helpful during your time as a postdoc trainee at Pitt—even during your off hours.

Health Sciences - The University looks to its six schools of the health sciences—Dental Medicine, Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health—to propel scientific discovery and clinical innovation and to educate and prepare future researchers, physicians, and health care providers and administrators for 21st century careers.

Health Sciences Library System (HSLS) - The HSLS at the University of Pittsburgh offers a wide array of information services, educational opportunities, and resources in print and electronic format to faculty, students, and researchers in the schools of the health sciences.

Innovation Institute - One of the four operating units of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE), the Innovation Institute protects and manages intellectual property generated by Pitt innovators. It also provides the education, mentoring, funding and other support needed to move a "big idea" to market.

Life Solutions Program - Offers a wide variety of resources that are tailored to specific life needs, providing you with the right tools to help you through a wide variety of life's challenges. Also provides confidential counseling services to University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff, postdoctoral trainees, and members of their households.

Off-Campus Living - Available to help you find the type of housing best suited to meet your needs along with other helpful information and tools.

Office of Human Resources (OHR) - Through its departments of Benefits, Compensation, Organization Development, Talent Acquisition, and more, the OHR supports the University of Pittsburgh's mission to advance teaching, research, and public service.

Office of International Services - An important first stop for international scholars.

Office of the Provost - The Office of the Provost is responsible for a number of strategic initiatives tied to the University’s mission as a public research university and provides general oversight of academic affairs, including education, faculty, and student life. 

PITT ARTS - Connect to the cultural life of Pittsburgh. Discounts are only available to registered students (a benefit provided through the assessment of a student activities fee), but all health sciences community members can benefit from the ART LINKS feature of their website—a comprehensive guide to Pittsburgh's visual and performing arts.

Pitt Events Calendar - The University Events Calendar compiles events of interest to students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors across departments, schools, and campuses. You can sort events by University unit, topic, and event type and also filter events by audience if you just want to see what's been flagged as of interest to postdocs

Pittsburgh Regional Transit - Use your Pitt ID to utilize this public bus service throughout the metropolitan Pittsburgh area.

Pittwire - Pittwire is the University's official news service, showcasing the most interesting and important stories from Pitt.

Parking, Transportation & Services - This University office helps all members of the health sciences community get around campus and the local Pittsburgh area. Find information on Pitt buses and shuttles, the SafeRider program, parking permits, and more.

University of Pittsburgh Athletics - The home court and field to Panther men's and women's sports events.

University of Pittsburgh Library System - The University Library System (ULS) stands at the center of intellectual life at the University of Pittsburgh, fostering connections and knowledge creation and dissemination that help faculty, students, and researchers from around the world to excel in research, scholarship, and creative expression. It supports and enhances productivity through its extensive collections, innovative Open Access publishing, and user-centered focus.

UPMC Hospitals - Provides directions and maps to UPMC hospitals and other facilities providing skilled nursing, retirement, and long-term care.
